Titled "Post Recession Communications: Facing the New Realities," the series will feature speakers from across the country, including representatives from IBM, Ford Motor Company, Prime Research North America, Diebold, Internet Strategies Group and public relations firms APCO Worldwide, Edelman, Dix & Eaton, Fahlgren Mortine and Morgan & Myers. Several Kent State faculty members will participate as well. The series will focus on four themes over four separate days:
- "Create the Authentic Enterprise," a full-day seminar to be held September 24 on Kent's main campus devoted to an exploration of the ways communications have helped companies define and instill their unique values internally and externally while building and maintaining stakeholder relationships.

- "Leverage the Power of Technology in Your Communications Program," a second 90-minute webinar to take place October 20 that looks at the spectrum of new media tools now in widespread use and the ways communications professionals can engage their top management in using them effectively.
- "Earn Trust," a full-day seminar to be held October 29 on Kent's main campus that presents a series of speakers who have used communications to build organizational trust both internally and externally.
The East Central District of the Public Relations Society of America, as well as the Greater Cleveland Chapter and the Akron Area Chapter of PRSA, are co-sponsors for the series. It is being produced for Kent State University's School of Communication by Meeker-Young LLC, a consulting firm that serves as communications coaches and advisors to leaders.
