Anson is a Marketing Consultant at ESPN Cleveland—a Good Karma Brands owned sports marketing company powered by the passion of Cleveland sports fans. He works with local and national businesses to develop brand building strategies utilizing ESPN’s local assets. These include:
- Radio (ESPN 850 WKNR and ESPN 1540 KNR2)
- ESPN 850 WKNR is the home of the Cleveland Browns and Ohio State Buckeyes
- Digital (ESPN.com, the ESPN App, and the WatchESPN App)
- Assets include high-impact display ads, non-skippable pre-roll videos, and video commercials during ESPN’s live streaming events
- 400-500 local events per year throughout Northeast Ohio

Melissa is currently the COO and VP of Sales and Marketing at Executive Caterers at Landerhaven and has over 25 years of experience in the hospitality industry in sales, marketing, and events. She has been on the board of SME Cleveland for over 4 years and was a 2014 Distinguished Marketing and Sales Award recipient. Melissa is also a graduate of the University of Akron.

Executive Director – SME Cleveland
Mary Margaret has been the Executive Director of SME Cleveland for over 14 years. She is responsible for effectively managing the Association’s operations in a fiscally-responsible manner. Helping members get the most out of their membership is one of her favorite aspects of her position.

Sue brings nearly 30 years of marketing communications experience to Dennison Creative. In her role, Sue assists clients with marketing strategy, helps develop effective selling tools to support it, and recommends the best places to use them.

I have worked in the Hospitality Industry for 30+ years starting in Operations in the Downtown Market and moving into Sales and Catering area which I tremendously enjoy. I am currently working at Sawmill Creek Resort which I personally feel is in the best location in OHIO, on the shores of Lake Erie. As a Senior Sales Manager, I assist meeting planners design and execute their perfect retreat, training, or team building event.
I joined SME in 2010 and I am currently serving on the Board of Directors helping new members become acclimated to SME. I have met some incredible people in the last 8 years of SME, learned new sales and marketing tactics at SME-U and Sales Con, and have made some new friends. Married for 27 years and have 4 children who are now beginning their careers.
Senior Director of Sales – Rock & Roll Hall of Fame
Sharrona oversees group sales, meetings, events, sales promotions and special accounts that generate revenue and attendance. Sets the strategy for the department with the vice president of marketing & communications, builds tactical plan, prepares budget, develops partnerships and packages, acquires new accounts, cultivates relationships to generate repeat business, identifies new sales opportunities, engages in networking and outside sales, and supervisors a staff of five. Sharrona travels around the country representing the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame at national sales trade shows.

Michelle Sustar joined Crain’s Cleveland Business in October of 2012 as a Marketing and Sales Assistant, where she is still employed as the Integrated Marketing Manager. Sustar serves on the Board of Directors for SME Cleveland, Wigs for Kids, the community relations committee for BVU, BVU’s young professional advisory board and is the founder of Crain’s RISE. She is a graduate of the Cleveland Leadership Center’s On-Board Cleveland program, the recipient of the Cleveland 20/30 Club’s Movers and Shakers award and an honoree in SME Cleveland’s 2018 DMSA class.

Senior Sales Manager – Metropolitan at The 9
Sandra has over 10 years of cumulative experience in the hospitality industry, including roles at full-service, extended stay, and select-service properties with Marriott, Starwood and Wyndham hotel brands. Her experience includes front office operations, group, catering and transient sales, revenue management and marketing.
During her hotel sales career, Sandra received numerous awards for her sales performance and achievements, while working individually and with a team.
Sandra is mostly proud that she has managed to be a part of, and even lead one of the two hotel openings here in Cleveland, during the time of multiple new hotels openings in the market recently.
