October 13 Building Your Brand

What does it mean to Build a Brand? What does it take? Why is it vital to your success? There are unique elements to your brand, and each one matters in its own way. We’ll talk about how can you enhance your brand and why it’s important to your success. We’ll also highlight those self-inflicted obstacles that ill-affect our ability to strengthen our brand. Bottom line of this workshop is ‘How you show up matters’!

November 10: Just Say It (JSI)

Sometimes we get caught up so much in being perfect that we aren’t our normal selves. Ever write an email that takes way too long to write because you were trying to find the perfect words? Ever get tongue-tied over anxiety with a prominent client because you were trying to be someone that you’re not? And why are your role-plays or practice sessions completely different than how you actually show up? Simply put… we’re either trying to be too perfect or we’re acting like someone we’re not because we assume that’s what others want.

As you sharpen your skills and competences, keep the following in mind:

Relax and don’t be too mechanical

Be yourself. Trust yourself

And… JSI.

December 8: Energy Bank Account (EBA)

In a give-and-receive world, it’s important to approach relationships with sincerity, empathy, and ethical assertiveness in efforts to provide value to internal partners and clients. Sounds like success to me.

As a sequel to Building Your Brand, EBA helps reflect on how valuable each and every relationship in your network truly is, and how each mirrors a monetary bank account. There are things you are doing to ADD value… and there are things you are doing to take away, or WITHDRAW, from that relationship. Yes, there inevitably is a balance between the two. Questions are:

What is your balance? What actions ADD? What actions WITHDRAW?

How much does each impact the strength of my relationship?

How do my actions… or inactions… affect my overall success?
